RCMS Group Adopts Parent Company Name
WALNUT CREEK, California (January 3, 2011) – American Reprographics Company (NYSE: ARC), the nation's leading provider of reprographics services and technology, today announced that its locally-branded operating locations around North America will adopt their parent company name, becoming known as “ARC” in all locations. The Company stated that it is consolidating its brand to raise awareness of its global presence, better represent its broad portfolio of services, and improve recognition among its increasingly international customer base.
Since 1989, the Company has grown from a single reprographics shop in Southern California to become the world’s largest company of its kind primarily through a strategic mergers and acquisition program begun in the 1990’s. By integrating the management teams and local market expertise of more than 40 different independent reprographics companies, ARC now offers a broad portfolio of services and technology to more than 100,000 customer companies around the world.
“Our divisions are taking on the name of the company they helped create,” said K. "Suri" Suriyakumar, Chairman, President and CEO. “Most of our local operating divisions were built from the ground up by talented and enterprising entrepreneurs. In many cases, several generations of the same family managed the various businesses over the years. As these companies joined ARC, our focus was to keep these management teams in place, foster their talent, and expand their opportunities by contributing to ARC’s growth. A large part of our success is due to their efforts.”
As a part of this rebranding, RCMS Group will now be known as ARC BIM Services Group or ARC BSG and will continue to provide cutting edge BIM solutions to the AEC Industry.
The business of construction has become far more global in scope as professionals in the industry are called upon to work beyond the boundaries of their home markets. ARC management credits this transition to an increasingly digital workflow in construction document management, and a more globally integrated economy.

While the name change is effective immediately throughout the Company, locally-branded operations will be making the transition to their new name in marketing and promotional materials throughout 2011.
